Senior Frontend Engineer
Build innovative tools for forest owners, drive sustainability, and make an impact on the future. Let’s grow together!
At Treebula, we’re building Sweden’s leading digital platform for forest owners. Our tools help thousands of landowners sell timber more fairly, manage their forests more efficiently, and explore new ways to create long-term value from their land. We want every forest owner to manage their land in their pocket – digitally, transparently, and sustainably.
We’re now expanding the scope of our product to support smarter and more sustainable forest management. As a senior frontend engineer, you’ll be central to that journey. From rebuilding our architecture to visualizing complex forest data, you’ll turn technical challenges into user-friendly solutions. You’ll help forest owners take control and support real change in a sector that needs it.
What you’ll be building
As a Senior Frontend Engineer you’ll be a key contributor to how we design and build user-facing features using React and TypeScript. Together with designers, you’ll turn ideas into intuitive and accessible interfaces, and help shape a component library and design system that supports consistency and scalability.
In addition to writing code, you’ll take an active role in defining how we structure and evolve the frontend over time. That includes working closely with backend engineers to ensure smooth integration with our APIs, and guiding best practices that support maintainability and long-term quality. You’ll also be involved in technical planning, mentor teammates when needed, and continuously look for ways to improve how we build, test and deliver new functionality.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in frontend development, building scalable, user-friendly applications using React, TypeScript, and modern frontend tools.
- Proven experience with component libraries, design systems, and CMS integrations that support flexible and maintainable solutions.
- A strong eye for UI/UX and responsive design.
- Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in English; Swedish is not required but a clear advantage for team communication and understanding our users.
Even better if you also…
- Have experience with mapping tools like Mapbox or Leaflet, or working with geospatial data.
- Have built and maintained UI component libraries using tools like Storybook.
- Have worked with AWS and DevOps tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Enjoy using A/B testing and data to guide design decisions.
- Knowledge of Python and Django, with the ability to collaborate closely on backend features.
- Interest in forestry, sustainability, or Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
The way we work together
We’re a small and collaborative team, and we value people who take initiative and enjoy working together to figure things out. You thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift, and you’re comfortable making progress even when not everything is clearly defined. You like sharing knowledge, solving problems in a structured way, and working closely with people in different roles. You contribute to a positive and open team culture where we support each other and keep moving forward together.
